Ronnie was born on Monday, November 28, 1949 in Lansdale, Penn. While living in Illinois, Ronnie decided he would rather live in Tupelo, Ala. At 12 years old, he hopped a freight train from Kankakee, Ill. back to his grandparents’ farm, that would be the future home to his beloved horses. Ronnie was 17 years old when he bought his first horse, Ingrid. The love he had for his horses and mules was amazing, and they loved him back unconditionally.
Ronnie also loved trains. He took excursion trips and was well known with railroad personnel and railroad detectives. Often, the engineers allowed Ronnie access to the engine cab where they exchanged stories. Ronnie was an avid reader and had extensive knowledge of German and U.S. history and weaponry.
He was unique, honest, generous, kind, a master storyteller, and he will be sorely missed by his family, friends and his horses and mules that stand watching and waiting for him to come home.
