Leonard Joubert III, 37 of Grant, passed away on November 5, 2022, in Grant, Alabama. Memorial services were held November 19, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel. Rev. Yolanda Jackson of First CME Church officiated.
He was born in Anchorage, Alaska to Leonard, Jr. and Robin Hood Joubert on October 20, 1985. He went to school in Jeffersonville, Ga. He graduated from Benny Benson High School in Anchorage. He attended Full Sail University pursuing a degree in Audio Engineering. He worked as a CNC Machinist for several years for Norris Cylinders. Mr. Joubert was a veteran of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan serving in the Army. He was awarded Army Achievement Medal/National Defense Service Medal/Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/Korean Defense Service Medal/Army Service Ribbon/Overseas Service Ribbon/Expert Marksmanship Badge w/Rifle Bar. He was involved in the Masonic Order. He was a talented music producer of songs such as Up and Down, Greatness, M.P.H’s, and E=MC2.
Mr. Joubert is survived by his children, Jaylynn Mackey Joubert, Theodore Rolle Joubert and Kristian Bowman Joubert; sisters and brother, Ashley Angelica Joubert, Brandi Mashawnda Joubert and Jamal Joubert; step-parents: Tie’ndra Joubert Jr. and Antonio Sinclair Dardy; nieces and nephew, Jayla RobinHood Joubert, La Bryan Hubbard, Adonis Sinclaire Joubert and Aaliyah Sky Gill; grandparents, Vivian H. Hood, Leonard and Alice Joubert, Sr.; aunts and uncle: Emma Jean Maddox, Yolanda Jackson, Susan Hood Jolin, Cleveland N Hipp, Winfred Hipp, Kevin Joubert Sr. and Reicco Apollo Joubert; and a host of cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
He was preceded in death by John H. Hood and Mattie P. Holmes.
