Scottsboro Woman’s League’s Mistletoe Market is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit and get a start on gift shopping or just find a few things for yourself! Mistletoe Market is an upscale Christmas marketplace with vendors from across the Southeast held at Goose Pond Civic Center, Nov. 18-20. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the market and offering photos on Saturday, from 10 – 4 p.m., and Sunday, from 1-3 p.m. Cara Jewel Photography will be taking the pictures. Santa pictures are free with the purchase of a weekend pass or $5 with the purchase of a general admission ticket. The digital images will be emailed to you.
The market will open for Mistletoe Mingle, our preview sale event, Friday, from 5 – 8:30 p.m. Friday night is a stroller-free night and refreshments will be served. Regular market hours are Saturday, from 10 – 6 p.m. and Sunday, from 1 – 5 p.m.
This year we are offering three ticket options. General Admission (one time use) tickets for Saturday or Sunday are $10 each. Friday only for Mistletoe Mingle will be $15, and a weekend pass includes admission for Saturday & Sunday, as well as our Friday night Mistletoe Mingle. You will enjoy a night of kid free shopping, and light refreshments for $20. Santa picture is included with Weekend Pass. Children 10 and under will receive free admission.
The Scottsboro Woman’s League is a service organization founded in 1968. The 30-member organization’s primary efforts go to raising money for local programs and organizations that provide services to the people of Jackson County.
The organization holds two annual fundraisers, Apple Annie at the beginning of October, and Mistletoe Market, the weekend before Thanksgiving each year.
Funds from Apple Annie are donated to mental health organizations in Scottsboro and Jackson County, including Habitat for Humanity, Mountain Lakes Behavioral Center, the ARC, Turning Point Pregnancy Center, DHR and Crisis Services – Domestic Violence Coalition.
Mistletoe Market proceeds are donated to Scottsboro Educational Foundation, Impact Learning Center, Jackson County Christmas Charities, Celebrate Recovery, Local Scholarship, Nourish One Child, Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Scottsboro Public Library Summer Program.
Through funds raised from our last Mistletoe Market in 2021, the Scottsboro Women’s League was able to donate over $30,000 to organizations and programs in Scottsboro and Jackson County.
