Betty Swafford, 79 of Scottsboro passed away Monday, February 3, 2020. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro with burial following in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her grandson, Chris Payne; great-grandsons, Christian Payne, Timothy Payne, Blake Guthrie; great-great-granddaughter, Copeland Payne; sister-in-law, Penny Wright; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Swafford; parents, Ethel Maye, John Steeley; son, Billy Wayne Swafford; daughter, Delores Ann Swafford; granddaughter, Shakira Dawn Guthrie; grandson, Tommy Guthrie II; great-grandson, Tommy Guthrie III; brother, J.W. Steeley; sisters, Carolyn Wilson, Shirley Guthrie.
