Mrs. Marilyn Akins, 67 of Powell, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Rainsville Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Gary Haymon and Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial followed in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leonard Akins; sons, Tyrone (Kimberly) Akins, Amos (Karen) Akins; brothers, Lowell Tilley, Elton Tilley; sister, Rebekah Bice; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Whitaker; parents, J.D. and Bessie Tilley; grandson, Wesley Warren.
