The Scottsboro-Jackson Heritage Center Association has begun its corporate sponsorship drive for the 2020 calendar year.
The Heritage Center Association is here because of the generous support and contributions of corporate sponsors and donors over the years. In the formative years of the Scottsboro Museum Commission and the Heritage Center Association, gifts by corporate and business sponsors were the difference between simply a dream depicted in architectural and landscape drawings and the reality of a restored Brown-Proctor House and the Sagetown facilities and structures.
The Heritage Center serves as the repository for historical court records as well as genealogy research information. In addition, the Brown-Proctor House, grounds and Sagetown facilities afford a beautiful site for events such as receptions, reunions, small meetings, showers and weddings. The Heritage Center also sponsors free events for the public during the year: The Spring Art Exhibit showcasing creative art work of students of Scottsboro City schools, Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours, Christmas Open House and Santa at the Center, as well as other events.
Corporate sponsorships and gifts are essential to the growth and preservation of these facilities. More importantly, the Center depends heavily on such sponsorships and gifts to continue to expand their programs and facilities.
Sincere thanks go to 2019 corporate and business sponsors: Maples Industries, Scottsboro Water Sewer & Gas Board, Unclaimed Baggage Center, Harris Millworks, Tolar Construction LLC, FNB Bank, First Southern State Bank, Devers Summerford & Westmoreland PC, and Russells Tractors Parts. Without this support the Heritage Center could not serve as the valuable resource for preserving and sharing the history of Scottsboro and Jackson County.
Partner with the Center in 2020 so it may continue to grow and serve as a strong resource for this community and beyond. Any sponsorship or donation is fully tax deductible as the Scottsboro-Jackson Heritage Center is a 501(c)3 organization.
Anyone wishing to donate to this project is more than welcome to do so. You do not have to be a corporate or business sponsor. If you have questions about sponsorship or giving options, or you would like to know more about sponsoring or underwriting specific programs or projects, please contact the Heritage Center at 256-259-2122 or by email at heritage@scottsboro.org.
