Faye Shelton Franks, 80, departed this life on Friday, July 8, 2022. She was born in Scottsboro on Thursday, July 10, 1941, to Fred and Annie Shelton. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Tommy Franks.
Faye led a productive life and retired as a teacher from the Hardin County Board of Education. All of her many years of teaching meant so much to the community of Whites. She was there at every function helping in every way, all the while raising four children and taking care of Tom. Faye was involved in working with the election commission and fundraising for the school. She was an excellent and creative seamstress, known for making masterpieces with little girls’ dresses. Faye was also a member of Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church and was very involved in church activities. She is deeply loved by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years; children, Donna (Terry) Holloway, Greg (Jeanne) Franks, Stacy (Christa) Franks, Leta Bingham; grandchildren, Jonathan Holloway, Jacob Holloway, Bethany Holloway, Jackson (Janna) Franks, Adam Franks, Jonah (Nicole) Lusk, Ethan (Delana) Luck, Nick Franks, Terry Bingham, Jessica Bingham; great-grandchildren, Briley, Charlie, Emma, Leo, Jamie; sister, Linda (Junior) Selby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jeff Bingham.
