Mrs. Margaret Utterback Daye, 79 of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at her home. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Helms officiating. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Daye retired after working 20 years for the Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. She will long be remembered for her love of Scottsboro and Jackson County through her service to the Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Sharp; son, Phillip (Belinda) Daye; chosen daughter, Angie (Greg) Bell; brothers, Kenneth Utterback, John Utterback; brothers-in-law, Stanley Carnegie, Stanley Hoff; granddaughters, Nicole Sharp, Anna (Josh) Hall, Hannah (Allen) Roden; grandson, Brandon Daye; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Emily Hall, Abigail and Allison Roden; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; her special fur baby, Sugar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Daye, Sr.; granddaughter, Emily Daye; sisters, Patricia Carnegie, Elizabeth Hoff; brother, Noel Utterback, Jr.; parents, Noel, Sr. and Alberta Utterback.
