Shirley Joan “Joann” Hass, 84 of Scottsboro passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro with burial following in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her sons, Ricky Hass, Robbie (Sharon) Hass; grandchildren, Whitney Hass, Heath Hass; great-grandson, Memphis Thompson; brothers, Billy (Shirley) Matthews, Kenneth “Spud” (Patricia) Matthews; sister, Virgina “Ginger” (Tom) Brewer; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Kathy Venable, Cody (Andrew) Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shorty Hass; parents, Buster and Ruth Matthews; sisters, Jane Matthews, Joyce Hopper; great-granddaughter, Emma Ray Thompson.
