Mr. Bobby C. Guffey, 85 of Grant, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Barnes officiating. Burial followed in the Old Prospect Cemetery.

Bobby was born in Marshall County on Sunday, July 5, 1936 to McKinley and Nellie Guffey. He joined the United States Navy in 1956 and served three years on the USS Jason (ARH-1) After his service, he served for many years as a brick mason.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Guffey; daughter, Samantha (Jeff) Lemley; daughter-in-law, Jenny Guffey; grandsons, Dylan (Amy) Guffey, Bobby Guffey; great-grandchildren, Layla Guffey, Ayden Guffey; brothers, Jimmy Guffey, Mike Guffey; sister, Mary Ledbetter; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Marty Guffey; parents; sisters, Joan Haygood, Doris Smith.
