Garrett Blake Barksdale, 48 of Huntsville, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Section Funeral Home with burial following in Old Sardis Cemetery.

Garrett graduated from Section High in 1991, joining the United States Army and serving our country for eight years. He worked as an Electronic Calibration Specialist for Redstone Arsenal and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies, playing golf and video games, laughing and singing out loud. He was also passionate about Alabama football, so let’s give him a big roll tide!

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Tracy Barksdale; children, Ethan and Olivia; parents, Donna and Clyde Barksdale; sister, Cheryl (Kenneth Langtimm)Barksdale; maternal grandmother, Laurie Anderson; two aunts; three uncles; multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lona and Lonnie Barksdale, Charlie Anderson.
