Dorothy LaVerne Atkins, 73 of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Myers officiating. Burial followed in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Atkins; sons, James (Tiffany) Atkins, Alex (Tracey) Atkins; brother, Jesse Rose; grandchildren, Codie Atkins, Cameron Atkins, Amber Schapatone, Matthew (Kristin) Atkins, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Corum, Amber Atkins, Blake Atkins, Whitney Atkins; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carney and Katherine Atkins; sister, Margie Howard.
