Mr. Van Bellomy, 80 of Section died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Section Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward Fossett officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The son of the late Sam and Lena Bellomy, he was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mr. Bellomy was also a construction superintendent for over 30 years and served as an inspector on numerous construction jobs during his career. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending his garden and growing the best tomatoes. He is survived by his wife, Doris Harper Bellomy; daughter, Holly (David) Bellomy Blanton; brother-in-law, Milo Alton Harper; brother, Hugh Bellomy; sisters, Una Manning, Wilda Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lena; brothers, Alva Bellomy, Herbert Bellomy; sisters, Ruth Latham, Virginia White, Pearl Sanders, Opal Procter.
