Ms. Frances Langston Day, 81 of Section and formerly of Mentone, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Carroll officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Leslie (Renae) Day; daughters, Holly Williams, Lanita (Bobby) Allen; brother, Loy (Beck) Langston; sisters, Christine (Mack) Scott, Ella Voils, Josey Noles, Myrtle (Wally) Meeks, Renae Langston; grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachel) Allen, Landon (Julie) Allen, Alison (Max) Gilbert, Payton (Ethan) Lewis, Eli Day, Brayden Williams, Bryson Williams; great-grandchildren, Lily Allen, Isabella Allen, Olivia Allen, Mallori Allen, Sariah Allen, Isaac Allen, Eli Allen, Grace Allen, Olivia Allen, Sophia Allen, Jax Allen, Colby Lewis, Jess Lewis, Hattie Gilbert; great-great-grandchild, Magnolia Allen; special friends, Phyllis Grant, Margie Holcomb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Day; parents, Willie and Fay Langston; brother, Leon Langston; sister, Vera Langston.
