Sandra Lynn Kirksey Thompson, 71 of Scottsboro, passed away peacefully from a stroke with her family by her side on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Her life was celebrated by her family privately.

Sandra was born on Friday, March 16, 1951 to Sherman and Daisy Kirksey of Scottsboro. She loved the Lord, her family, friends, the beauty of nature, her too-many-to-count cats that somehow found their way way to her home and heart in Pikeville, her chickens and her little dog. She never met a stranger, always helped those in need and loved life to the fullest.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon McKenzie; son, Ted (Jennifer) Dawson; brother, Rodney Kirksey; granddaughters, Chloe Bozzell, Kylie Dawson; her beloved James Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Daisy Kirksey; brothers, Ronnie Kirksey, Bobby Kirksey; grandparents, Harvey and Mary Brandon, Johnson and Mary Ann Kirksey.
