Mr. James Edward Sparks, 86 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gardner and Rev. Duaine Griggs officiating. Burial followed at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.

He was a devout Christian, member of Cloud Springs Baptist church, mason and shriner. He retired from TVA.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Sparks; daughters, Jimmie (Charles) Thomas, Betty (Lloyd) Hall; son, Kenny (Jean) Sparks; stepchildren, Pam (Brian) Fitzpatrick, Patricia (Heath) Cloud; grandchildren, Kevin Thomas, Carrie Thomas, Jamie Sharp, Heath Sparks; step-grandchildren, Ethan Cloud, Mac Fitzpatrick, Matt Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren, Mason Sharp, Lauren Sharp, Addison Sparks, Cooper Sparks; brother, Bill (Cecilia) Sparks. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dixie Sparks; parents, S.L. and Bessie Sparks.
