Mr. Hugh Thomas Kirby, Jr., 83 of Scottsboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Stenson officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Hugh was the station manager and disc jockey at WROS for many years; he was known as the catfish man on Boy Scout Road.

He is survived by his daughters, Tonia Newman, Tamara Kirby; son, Tommy Kirby; grandchildren, Aaron Newman, Gabriel Newman, Nicole Johnson; great-grandchild, Carter Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Kirby, Sr. and Rose Kirby.
