Ms. Lexie Inez Russell, 94 and lifetime resident of Scottsboro, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2022 at surrounded by family at her home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. David Moses officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Russell was well known throughout the community for her jokester personality and always had a way of bringing a smile to the face of anyone she met. She loved everyone and spent the majority of her life caring for others in her home. She made a huge impact on all those she met throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Sisk, Rayford (Donna) Russell, Betty (Ken) White; granddaughter she raised, Samantha (Rick) Parker; a wonderful host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Rayford (Ella) Justice, Melvin Justice; sisters, Dorothy (Gene) Parker, Catherine (Brian) Lawson; all of Scottsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oakley and Eunice Justice; son, Charles Russell.
