Donald Wayne Swearengin, 72 of Huntsville, finished his fight here on this earth on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his home. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel with burial following in Gunter Mountain Memory Gardens.
Donald was born on Thursday, September 1, 1949 in Swearengin to James and Inez Swearengin. After graduating from Kate Duncan Smith DAR, he joined the United States Air Force and made the military his career, eventually retiring after 20 years of service.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 52 years, Mai Swearengin; children, Tim Swearengin, Stephanie Swearengin; grandchildren, Ethan Chandler, Stacee Bartell, Lauren Swearengin; great-grandchild, Avery Tucker; brothers, Fred Swearengin, Tommy Swearengin; sisters, Shirley Grubbs, Leona Frank, Lonia Stapler, Mary Coulter, Nell Wallingsford, Peggy Clark; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Swearengin; brother, Charles Swearengin; parents.
