A celebration of life for Sara Gross Rundlett was held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at New Hope United Methodist Church with graveside services following at Gross Cemetery.
Sara was a devoted wife, mother and granny. She was born in Scottsboro and was a registered nurse for many years and a devoted mother. Sara served her family selflessly and nurtured everyone she met.
She is survived by her children, Terry Salmon, Tammy and Kurt Parker, Kim and Pete Van Staagen, Chad and Chris Rundlett; grandchildren, Cody and Mary Salmon, Nikki Salmon, Alexis Parker, Gray Parker, Sydney and Jeremy Hale, Stephen Starkey, Andrew Starkey, Katherine and Judah Suarez, Anna Van Staagen, Macki and Austin Browner, Sayler, Gunter and Gavin Rundlett; great-grandchild, Rayna Hale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; parents; brothers; sisters.
Proverbs, 31:10-12, 25-31, “Who can find a capable wife? her worth is far beyond coral. Her husband’s whole trust is in her and children are not lacking…She is clothed in dignity and power and can afford to laugh at tomorrow. When she opens her mouth, it is to speak wisely, and loyalty is the theme of her teaching. She keps her eye on the doings of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children with one accord call her happy; her husband, too, and he sings her praises: “Many a woman shows how capable she is; but you excel them all.” Charm is a delusion and beauty fleeting: it is the God-fearing woman who is honoured. Extol her for the fruit of all her toil, and let her labors bring her honour in the city gate.”
2 Timothy, 1:7, “For the spirit that God gave us is no craven spirit, but one to inspire strength, love and self discipline.”
