Tammy Wooten Shah, born on Wednesday, October 30, 1963, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. A visitation was held for friends and family on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel.
Tammy loved life. She battled cancer four times and was a fierce fighter. She tried to live her life to the fullest, always trying to find things to do for fun. Whether it was a day at the lake or just a movie at home, she was always trying to have some kind of fun. Tammy loved people, and she loved to make them laugh. She would play pranks, tell jokes and act plain silly to get someone to laugh. She wrestles and played with her kids and grandkids as much as she could. Her love for her husband and her children was unmatched, and the love she held for her family and friends was deep and strong. She was forgiving, and she wanted anyone who felt as if they had done her wrong to know that she forgave them. These past several years, she really connected with her faith in God, and now she goes to the place the Lord has prepared for her. Her work on Earth is done.
She is survived by her husband, Syed Mussadiq Ali Shah; sons, Bradford Buchanan, Jason Shah; daughters, Natalya Shah, Nadia Shah; grandchildren, Jessie Shah, Aliyah Potter, Brayden Buchanan, Brent Buchanan, Aliya Shah, Bryson Buchanan; siblings, Tabatha Beck, Rex Wooten, Tex Wooten, Lex Wooten. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Bonnie Wooten; brother, Roy Wooten.
“I just want you to be happy. I want to see you graduate. I want to see you succeed. I love you, and I’m proud of you.” A mother’s words to her children that will not be forgotten. “Baby, I love you.” The words of a wife that will always be cherished.
Tammy always said she did not want flowers at her funeral; she would rather have them while she was alive to enjoy them. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America or St. Jude’s Hospital. Thank you.
