Wilda Fay Evett, 74 of Section, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with her nephews, Leron Manning and Dewayne Manning speaking. Burial followed in Center Point Cemetery.
Fay was a member of Davistown Baptist Church. She drove a school bus for Scottsboro City Schools, driving the track team for 20 years. Most knew her as Mrs. Fay.
She is survived by her daughters, Michell (Roger) Brandon, Darlene (Neil) Tidwell, Patricia (John) Tabb; grandchildren, Brooke Brandon, Zach Brandon, Judd and Misty Tabb, Ryan and Stacie Tabb, Rebecca and Aaron Chapman, Corey Tabb; great-grandchildren, Zaliegh Tabb, Chevy Tabb, Adalynn Chapman, Cole Chapman, Awbree Tabb, Jase Tabb; brother, J.C. and Glenda Manning; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Daniel Evett; infant daughter, Doris Evett; infant granddaughter, Jessie Tabb; parents, Delbert and Nina Manning; in-laws, Jim and Myrtle Evett.
