Mr. William “Bubba” David James, 56 of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Duaine Griggs, Jody Bell and Scott Blizzard officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Bubba was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cherrie James; daughters, Tabitha James, Niki Ballentine, Kelly (Brad) Gardner; son, Bentley (Torrie) Ward; stepsons, Scottie, Eric and Zach Freemster; grandchildren, Ragan Roberts, Jacob Gardner, Emmitt Gardner, Silas Gardner, Abby Bice, Charlie Bice, Luke Bice; mother, Lorene Venable; sisters, Patricia (Tim) Majors, Linda (Tony) Hamilton, Mary Ann James; brothers, Bill (Denise) Venable, Wayne (Maria) Venable; several nieces and nephews; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Betty Parker; brothers-in-law, Chris Clines, Tracy Clines. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joe Venable; father, David James.
