Mrs. Nora Christine Childress, 73 of New Hope, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, February 18, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Garner and Bro. Ollie Taylor officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Kenneth Childress; granddaughter, Crystal (Kelly) Gorham; great-grandchildren, Brayden Gorham, Brennen Gorham, Brandon Gorham; sisters, Wanda (Gary) Bearden, Faye (Randy) Taylor, Shelia (Johnny) Trotman; brother-in-law, Donnie (Brenda) Childress; sister-in-law, Katherine Koopeman; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Burrows; mother, Vadie Black; father, Colen Black; numerous brothers and sisters.
