Mr. Gerald Lacey, 80 of Section and formerly of Rainsville, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Edward Fossett and Bro. Glenn Bruce officiating. Burial followed in Mountain View memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lacey; sons, Rodney Lacey, Russell (Maderra) Lacey; stepsons, Hayden (Tiffany) Hancock, Eric (Leigh Ann) Childress; daughter, Cindy Ballenger; brother, Danny Lacey; sisters, Laverne Chesser, Lyna (Gary) Holcombe; grandchildren, Jaren (Kendal) Lacey, Alec Lacey, Peyton Lacey, Colby (Savannah) Shankles, Brett Shankles, Morgan (Cody) Martin, Austin Ballenger, Melita Hancock, Hayes Hancock, Maddy Childress, Anna Childress; great-grandchildren, Ivalee Lacey, Lila Coker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lacey; parents, Rufus and Florence Lacey; brother, Maurice Lacey; sisters, Helen Lacey, Wanda Bell.
