Scottsboro Boys Museum fundraiser begins

Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 5 p.m., the Scottsboro Boys Museum and Cultural Center kicks off its 10th Anniversary Extravaganza with dinner and program at Goose Pond Civic Center, 1165 Ed Hembree Drive, Scottsboro, Ala. 35769. Advance tickets are $25/person and $35 at the door. This dinner marks the official kickoff of the museum’s fundraising efforts to undertake a makeover of the museum to bring it into focus as a pivotal stop on the Civil Rights Trail. The renovations will allow for a fuller, more accessible exploration of the impact of the Scottsboro Boys on the Civil Rights movement and American legal system. The redesign will enhance the museum’s visibility and the experiences of the many visitors who come from across the U.S. and around the world. Donations to help support the makeover of the museum are welcome and are tax-deductible. Checks or money orders should be made payable to The Scottsboro Boys 10th Anniversary and sent to P.O.
