Sherman Wade

Mr. Sherman Wade Jackson, 69 of Swearengin passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home. A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Oak Grove Holiness Church with Bro. Alton Willmon and Bro. Nicky Willmon officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery.
Wade was born on Sunday, March 16, 1952 to Sherman and Louise Jackson in Marshall County. He was a jack-of-all-trades and had an uncanny knowledge of old country music and classic cars. Wade took a hobby of mussel diving and made a career out of it for many years. He was a longtime member of Oak Grove Holiness Church, where he was known for his testimonies and “his song.” But probably more than anything, Wade will be remembered most for his love for family.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Jackson; children, Shannon (Tasha) Jackson, Tonia (Tracy) Willmon; grandchildren, Rese Jackson, Kelsy (Cody) Gore, Wyatt Sutphin, Natalee Jackson, Karson Jackson, Briley Willmon, Westen Willmon; great-grandchildren, Greyson Gore, Tripp Gore; siblings, Angie Stapler, Gearldine (Wayne) brewer, Rhonda (Bud) Ware; brother-in-law, Dub (Margo) Embry; many nieces and nephews; special friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Barney Jackson; brothers, James Jackson, Billy Jackson.
