Jesse Fowlkes

Jesse Bradshaw “PopPop” Fowlkes, 71 of Grant, went to rest in heaven on Friday, December 24, 2021, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Jesse was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on Wednesday, January 24, 1951. He loved playing golf, fishing, cooking, woodworking and above all, spending time with his family. He loved watching his grandsons growing up and playing basketball throughout his years. He also enjoyed cheering on the Crimson Tide with his friends and family. Jesse was a Publix store manager and a huge part of that community for many years. He ran Triple L Barbecue with his family in recent years.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Fowlkes; son, Colby Fowlkes; daughter, Meaghan (Shane) Harbin; grandsons, Landen (Ragan) Harbin, Lawson Harbin, Laken Harbin; siblings, Gordon (Laura) Fowlkes, Eve (Don) Lichay, Albert (Vicki) Fowlkes, Buster Pressel; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends. He is reunited in heaven and preceded in death by his mother, father, mother-in-law and father-in-law; brother-in-law, Ernie; best friend, Bruce.
