Frances Marie Warren Houston, 93, completed her earthly journey on Monday, December 13, 2021 and entered into the eternal rest she long desired and prepared for. Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Marie was a longtime member of the Holiness faith spanning from Crow Mountain to Black Oak, Indiana, to Scottsboro. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother and took great pride in sewing, canning and cooking for her family and friends.

Left behind to cherish the good memories are, her children, Sherrill (Dan) Garner, Sandra (Rob) Buckner, Candi (Ron) Hillis; grandchildren, Stephanie and Stewart Thorson, Brittney and Travis Upton, Morgan and Carl Johnson, McKenzie Hillis; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Ellie Thorson; Dacy, Cooper, Holden and Brock Upton, Jace Hillis, Rhylie Johnson. Marie came from a long legacy of strength and love. Her parents, Rev. Robert and Cora Warren had 11 children to establish this bond. Still here to celebrate their love are, Veda (Jack) Manning, Jeannette (Jim Stillwell), Randy Weddington; inlaws, Maxine Warren, Veta Warren, Bill Price; a host of nieces, nephews and continued generations of the family. She was preceded in death by her soulmate for 58 years, Charles Houston; grandchildren, Julie Michelle, Steven Garner; great-granddaughter, Olivia Thorson; siblings, Lena (Bud) Sanders, Rev. Buford (Dorothy Warren, Elvleen Warren) Warren, Billy Warren, Rev. Paul Warren, Rev. Jimmy (Betty) Warren, Eula Price, Wilburn Warren, Beulah (Raymond )McAllister.
The family would like to thank Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their tireless love and care for their mother and nana during her illness.
