Judy Williamson Hood of Scottsboro passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 following a brief illness. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with services officiated by Bro. Steve Allred.
Judy retired from the Jackson County School Board of Education after many years, with her last year at Woodville High School.
She is survived by her sons, Doug Hood, Chuck, Angie) Hood; grandchildren, Samantha, Adam, Kelly, Trey, Sonni Hood; sister, Karen (Victor) Phillips; brother, Mike (Theresa) Williamson. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Oliver and Betty Williamson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to Jackson County Christmas Charities, C/O DHR at the old Brownwood building on Bingham Street; Nourish One Child, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church; Sade’s Fund for Spreading Hope, 655 Winn Road, Scottsboro,Ala. 35769.
