Turning Point receives new ultrasound machine

Turning Point Pregnancy Center in Scottsboro received a new ultrasound machine from the Knights of Columbus, Fred J. German, Sr. Council 7679, representing St. Jude Catholic Church.
No woman should feel alone and unsupported when facing the realities of an unplanned pregnancy. The Kinghts of Columbus have a primary mission to support the culture of life and have been a partner in support of Turning Point Pregnancy Center over the years. When Turning Point’s old ultrasound machine reached its life cycle, the Knights offered to help raise funds to purchase a new ultrasound machine. With the help of St. Jude, Father Tom Woods and other generous parishioners and friend, the Knights reached their goal of $13,500 and had their goal matched for a total of $27,000. Council 7679 also raised and donated an additional $3,400 for training and administrative costs.
