Gayle Yvonne Towers Ragan of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from complications of severe pancreatitis. A private graveside service was held at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Gayle graduated from Kirkman Technical High School in Chattanooga and was a long-time employee of BlueCross/BlueShield of Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Elvie Towers and the stepdaughter or the late Bobby Tucker, Sr. Gayle had several hobbies and was well known as an animal lover, involved in animal rescues – mostly cats. In the past, she raised a few exotic birds and finches. In recent years, she became an avid reader and had a passion for researching local history. She enjoyed flowers and maintained an impressive doll collection.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Ragan; sister, Betty (Pat)Booth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKamey Animal Center, 4500 North Access Road, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37415.
