Mr. George Albert Pipes, 73 of Hazel Green passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Patrick Nelson officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
George was a member of Ben Hur Shrine in Austin, Texas, Cahaba Shrine in Huntsville, Ala. and a member or Hill City Masonic Lodge in Austin. He served for many years as a hospital board member for Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Houston and Greenville, SC.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Pipes; daughter, Georgina (Patrick) Nelson; son, Timothy Pipes; grandchildren, Nathan Nelson, Andrew Nelson, Arabella Nelson, Kaitlyn Nelson, Harley Pipes; father, Albert Pipes; sisters, Diane (Robert) Steffy, Cindy (James) Green, Beth (John) Massey; several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Gayle Maliskey, Michael (Glenda) Grider, Rita Woosley, Vickie (Spike) Myers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Pipes.
