Mrs. Dorothy Sharp McLain, 88 passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Funeral services were held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. John Robertson officiating. Burial followed at Skyline Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on Monday, May 29, 1933 at Skyline. She was a kind and caring nurse for 40 years and retired from Guntersville Hospital. She enjoyed music, especially bluegrass and was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was generous, fun-loving, loved to play cards and had a young outlook, keeping up with current styles and fashion.
She is survived by her children, Danny (Donna) McLain, Tim (Terry) McLain, Sandra (Tim) McCurley; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Carolyn (Bonny) Paradise. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Todd; parents, Jodie and Beulah Sharp; brothers, Jodie Sharp, Jr., Howard Sharp; sister, Linda Parker.
