Mr. Jeremy C. Cox, Sr., 48 of Grant passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Grant Memorial Chapel with burial following in Free Home Cemetery.
Jeremy was born in Guntersville on Thursday, October 19, 1972 to Harold and Jane Cox. He graduated from Kate Duncan Smith DAR High in 1992, and following graduation, He worked as a contractor for an oil and gas company out of Houston for 25 years. Jeremy loved his job; it allowed him the opportunity to travel all over the country, following the pipeline work. He only got to enjoy his new home a short time before being hit hard by cancer in 2018.
Along with his parents, Jeremy is survived by his wife, Brandi Cox; son, Jeremy Cox, Jr.; stepson, Korbyn Vansant; stepdaughters, Morgan Vansant, Emma Vansant; uncle, Dwight (Cassandra) Cox; step-grandfather, Wilson White; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Pam Lancaster; lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special kitties, Stripes and Gypsy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben Cox, Ruth White, J.V. Payne and Flossie Payne.
