William “Bill” Love Burton, Jr., 69 of New Port Richey passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with burial following at Hytop Cemetery.
Bill was born in Harvey, Illinois where he would later attend Thornton High. In 1972, he made his forever home in New Port Richey, Florida with the love of his life, Carmella. Bill was a hard worker for his entire life, working for many different companies but most notably at Cosmo Truck Building for 25 years in Tampa before establishing his own family-owned and operated sign company in 1998.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Carmella; children, Christina (David) Jones, Matthew Burton, Sr., Heather (Robert) Higgins, III; grandchildren, Kristina Diffin, Abbrielle Jones, Loralei Higgins, Matthew Burton, Jr., Robert Higgins, IV; great-granddaughter, Melody Diffin; siblings, Sherry Bullock; Dennis (Karen) Burton, Valerie (Wayne) Thompson, Lisa (Phillip) Sullivan, Holly (Josh) Webb; sister-in-law, Cindi Burton; many more friends and family whose hearts have been touched along the way. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Frances Fish; parents, Evelyn and Virgil Knopps, William and Millie Burton, Sr.; aunt, Elaine Bobb; siblings, Thomas Burton, John Burton, Gloria Kotlowski; brother-in-law, Charles Bullock; cousin, Richard Patterson; niece, Carrie Venable; nephew, Joseph Burton; great-niece, Mashonda Venable.
He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
