Mr. Mark Latham, 81 of Scottsboro passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Aaron Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
He was a graduate of Woodville High class of 1958 and Florence State (UNA) in 1962. He was also a member of Eastside Church of Christ and a National Guard veteran. Mr. Latham worked with the civil service for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loved Alabama football.
Mark is survived by his wife, Carolyn Latham; daughter, Sherry (Riley) Brown; son, Mark (Lesley) Latham; stepdaughter, Cynthia (Doug) Smith; stepsons, Dexter (Benjy) Austin, Marc (Stacie) Austin; grandchildren, Savannah Latham, Shelby Latham, Sadie Latham; step-grandchildren, Matthew Cookston, Chase Cookston, Derek Smith, Ethan Smith, Tobias Austin, Nora Smith, Emory Smith, Ezra Smith; brother, Walker (Bobbie) Latham; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Benton and Sadie Latham; brothers, Gordon Latham, Raymond Latham, Hugh Latham, Rayford Latham, Walter Latham, Lester Latham; sisters, Grace Reynolds, Maggie Gattis, Emma Dean, Ethel Fricks, Gladys Travis.
