Mr. Alvie Jess Parker, 99 of Scottsboro passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Hytop Holiness Church with Bro. Shirley Byrum, Bro. Barry Birdsong and Bro. Totchie McLain officiating. Burial followed in Hytop Cemetery.
Mr. Parker is survived by his son, Alford Parker; daughters, Dorothy (Tommy) Smedley, Ellen (Charles) Couch; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Parker; daughters, Marie Smedley, Mildred Tobeck; son, Martin Parker; parents, Jess and Minnie Parker; grandson, Jerry Hoskins; granddaughter, Heather Utter.
