Mrs. Rachel “Betty” Atchley, 78 of Swearengin passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 21, 2021. Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 with Bro. Alton Willmon and Bro. Nicky Willmon officiating. Burial followed in Gunter Mountain Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Atchley is survived by her sons, Jamey (Gayla) Atchley, Mark (Christa) Atchley; daughters, Denelda Hopper, Jetta (Derrell) Shadden; grandchildren, Amber (Shawn) Smith, Miranda (Rodney) Baugh, Todd (Candace) Shadden, Erin Atchley, Crissey (Martin) Smith, Paul Hopper, Peter Hopper; great-grandchildren, Justin Baugh, Hayleigh Shadden, Jonah Baugh, Marissa Baugh, Callie Smith, Ava Shadden, Josie Smith; special caregivers, Deborah Geckles, David Austin; very special niece, Lisa Atchley; several brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Atchley; son-in-law, Jerry Hopper; several brothers and sisters.
