James Reeves Chilton, Jr. passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 after an extended illness. Memorial services will be held online on Monday, June 7, 2021 with services officiated by Rev. Joseph H. Reams.
James’ lifelong courage and perseverance were an inspiration to all. Born with cerebral palsy, James faced many challenges with spirit and strength of character; he never gave up. His family and friends loved him for his concern for everyone he cared about, his cheerfulness and his dry sense of humor.
He is survived by his sister, Mary (Stephen) Curry; cousins, Kathy Williams, Anita (John) Ranelli, Bill (Connie) Stewart; second mother and family friend, Pat Muse.
