Mr. “Buddy” Phillip W. Bell, 79 of Scottsboro passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Lovett officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Born and raised in Huntsville, Buddy graduated from Butler High in 1961, entering the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Alaska. He later began his career in the car business, and he lived primarily in North Alabama, retiring from Harbin Automotive. Buddy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family, and they will miss his hugs, big smile and quick sense of humor. An avid fisherman, a day on the lake was where he was closest to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bell; daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Smith, Jodi Adkins; grandchildren, Baylie (Mark) Hyatt, Jenna Adkins, Kali Smith, Belle Smith, Blaire Smith; great-grandchild, Norah Smith; sister, Debbie Bell, Linda (John) Brisbane. He was preceded in death by his son, Corey Bell; parents, Hamp and Beatrice Bell.
