Shirley Ann Simpson, born on Monday, November 9, 1936, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro with services officiated by Bro. Ed Woods. Interment followed into Cedar Hill Cemetery.
She was born to the late George Lee Looney and Nancy Ann Looney of Guntersville and was a member of the North Houston Church of Christ.
She leaves behind her children, Daisy (David) Sales, Brenda (Frank) Davis, Angela (Willie) Anderson, Rickey Simpson, Danny Simpson; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Clodessa Evans, Odessa Looney; brothers, Ned Looney, Charles Looney, Khalil Amin; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, Mamie Anderson. She was preceded in death b y her husband, Henrey Simpson; parents; brother, Leo Looney; son, Bobby Simpson.
