Marsha Ann Bellomy Westberry, 71 of Columbus passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Westberry was born on Thursday, August 25, 1949 in Scottsboro to the late Catherine Brandon and Warren Bellomy. On August 7, 1976 she married Charles Westberry and after graduating from Jacksonville State University, she continued a lifelong interest in history and political science. Much of her 20s were spent as an avid recreational tennis player, spending many hours on the court each week. Later in life, her hobbies included 5k races with her husband and traveling with him for these races. Mrs. Westberry worked several places during her career, including her job at Moody and Associates. In addition to her career, she found joy attending church at Covenant United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Westberry loved every moment with her two granddaughters. She was a huge animal lover and treasured her time with her horses and beloved cat, Snow. She spent many years enjoying late-night shows. Besides devoting much time to the Bible, history and other topics, she also loved Jan Karon and Fannie Flagg.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Dominik) Fuhrmann; granddaughters, Avery and Sinclaire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents; sister, Kathy.
