Ms. Alva “Sue” Thomas, 78 of Scottsboro passed away on Wednesday, February 10. 2021. Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Union Cemetery.
She was a beloved aunt and friend. She spent 25 years dedicated to serving lunches to the students of Scottsboro city schools.
She is survived by her nieces, Pam Vernon, Paula (John) Wilson; great-nieces, Allison Vernon, Kristin (C.J.) Gentle; great-nephew, Drew Wilson; great-great-nephew, Tucker Gentle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruby Thomas; brother, K. Thomas; sister-in-law, Margaret Thomas.
