Mr. Christopher Rome Dabbs of Grant passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Shannon Burbanks and Bro. Ray Dabbs officiating. Interment followed in Free Home Cemetery.
A 1989 graduate of KDS DAR High, Christopher enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm. He was employed by Faithway Feeds during his 20-year career as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed smoking food for his friends and family to enjoy. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved shooting with his sons. He was loved by all who met him and was a great dad.
Mr. Dabbs is survived by his father, Bobby (Gail) Dabbs; mother, Carla (Gene) Holliday; soulmate, Angie Jones; sons, Rome Dabbs, Christian Dabbs, Austin Dabbs, Noah Dabbs; daughter, Carissa Dabbs; sisters, Alexa (Eric) Dabbs, Amanda (Alex) Poe; half-sister, Katrina Collier; stepbrothers, Damien (Samantha) Holliday, Phillip (Cindy) Helms; grandchild, Baylen Chase Horton; niece, Victoria Poe; nephews, Emmett Holliday, Xander Gronemeyer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
