Mrs. Dorris Rains Smith, 94 of Chavies Community passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Mountain View Memory Gardens with Bro. Jeff Cole officiating.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Barbara) Burns; daughter, Wanda Yates; grandchild, Brian Burns; nieces, Scarlett (Wayne) Farley, Kathy (Gerald) Gregory. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Burns; second husband, Ebsel Smith; parents, H.O. and Mary Rains; brothers, Briggs Oliver Rains, Ottis Keith Rains; son-in-law, Willis Chalmer Yates.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chavies Community Church.
