Mr. Bobby Troy Wallingsford, 84 of Scottsboro passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with services officiated by Dr. Steve Screws and Larry Wallingsford. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wallingsford was born on Wednesday, March 18, 1936 to Troy Benton and Eunice Cooper Wallingsford. He attended Woodville High School because that was the bus that showed up first. He also grew up in Mount Ararat Baptist Church and continued to attend singings there unti l a few months ago. A United States Army veteran, he worked for many years as a welder in the maintenance department of Revere, before building houses on the side. Many of the houses around town were actually built by Mr. Wallingsford.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Faye Wallingsford; sons, Tony (Tracy) Wallingsford, Rob Wallingsford; grandchildren, Butler Holland, Riley Holland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
