Ms. Doris J. Hairston, 79 of Henagar passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. Graveside services were held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Unity Cemetery with Bro. James Grindstaff officiating.
Ms. Hairston was born on Friday, December 26, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of DeKalb County.
She is survived by her brother, Waylon Smalley; daughter, Glenda (Charles) Dean; sons, James (Lely) Hairston, Kevin (Anna) Hairston; grandchildren, Kellie (Jeff) Brisendine, Bradley (Tonya) Moore, Joshua (Ashton) Hairston, Kyle Hairston, Nicole Hairston, Zac Hairston, Kortney Hairston, Haylie (Hunter) Lawson, Benjamin Murphree Hairston; great-grandchildren, Branson Moore, Emery Hairston, Nataleigh Davis, Addison Davis, Promise Hairston, Layne Hairston, Carter Hairston, Jadyn Hairston, Easton Hairston, Ava Lawson, Levi Lawson, Liam Lawson. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Jackson Smalley; mother, Elba Inez Harris Smalley; brothers, Verlon Smalley, Bobby Ray Smalley; sisters, Velma Wooten, Elaine Chester; great-grandson, Jackson Hairston.
