Eunice Marie McCrary, 86 of Scottsboro passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 with her family by her side. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with burial following in Free Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born to Oswald and Zora Pike on Tuesday, January 16, 1934, she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Scottsboro for 41 years. Her interests included cooking, reading, gardening, piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother, spending many years caring for her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, William “Bud” McCrary; brothers, David (Linda) Pike, Kenneth (Penny) Pike, Johnny (Marilyn) Pike; sisters, Mary Jo Kay, Brenda Richmond. She had three children, Carolyn Palmer, Mary (Benny) DeHart, Valerie (David) Bitondo; stepchildren, Danny (Joy) McCrary, Dennis (Debbie) McCrary, Sandra Owens; grandchildren, Christy Wright Boland, Adam Wright, Kelly Brown, Rebecca Satterfield, Riley Vincent, Michael McCrary, Brent McCrary, Adam McCrary, Clint McCrary, Robbie Simmons, Carrie Brinkley, Randy Owens, Scotty Owens; 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Burlos Calvary DeHart; son, Barry Edward DeHart; brothers, Sydney Pike, Leman Pike.
