Mr. Michael “Mike” Pendergrass, 59 of Florence passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Webb officiating. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Born in Scottsboro, Mike served in the Alabama National Guard. He was also a volunteer firefighter and a rescue dog handler.
He is survived by his brother, Wade (Kathy) Pendergrass, Glen (Kathie) Pendergrass; nieces, Malley (Geoff) Pendergrass, Holly (Bart) Whitten, Katie Pendergrass; nephew, Hayden Pendergrass; great-nephew, Wyatt Matthews. Uncle Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Leon Pendergrass.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Room at the Table Shoals, P.O. Box 411, Florence, Ala. 35631, in his honor.
